Conversion Course in Computing for those with honours degrees.
Open the door to a new career with a H. Dip Sc. in Computing from the Institute of Technology Consortium. You’ve got talent, you are a problem solver. You enjoy solving logical and mathematical challenges.

Your honours degree already shows a talent for achievement. You’ve heard about the opportunities in the technology sector and you‘d like a passport to open the door to these opportunities. This programme is supported by major industry players offering 6 month internships for successful candidates.

Opportunities

Read it in the news, check out employment websites – there are significant numbers of vacancies for individuals with strong computing skills. The official government expert group for future skills needs (EGFSN) reports confirms this.

It’s no surprise – Ireland has a vibrant information and communications technology sector. Many of the big international players have significant operations in Ireland – Microsoft, IBM, Dell, BAE Detica, Facebook, SAP, SAS – these are big players and well recognised – but there are a host of other companies international and national, who have a constant demand for talented people.

We have designed a H Dip Sci in Computing in partnership with these companies to help talented graduates access the opportunities in computing. Our programme includes a commitment from major IT players to provide placement/ internships and project to help prepare participants on the programme for a career in the industry.

This is a real partnership between Industry and Institutes of Technology with real opportunities for employment at the end of the programme.
